After rocking out with GH3 on Hard, I went upstairs to find that my shipment arrived this morning. I didn't expect a delivery to be done on a Saturday and since it didn't arrive yesterday, I was kinda bummed out that my new games will arrive on a weekday next week when I'll be in the middle of work.
So I rushed back to my room to play Unreal Tournament 3 and OH MAN! The graphics is top notch. I didn't use the mouse and keyboard combo since I can't be arsed plugging it to the PS3, but even with the sixaxis, I reckon it wasn't hard to aim (playing in normal difficulty). Too bad that there isn't a split screen mode for the game though as I would love to play this offline with some mates or have split screen while playing online like in warhawk. Anyway, the AI is OK, nothing ground breaking but since the game is quite fast paced, even the dumbest bots can still be deadly.
After a couple of hours playing UT3, I decided to stop and play the other game that came with the package. This time it's Assassin's Creed's turn to be played. As soon as I loaded it up, it asked for a 25MB update, took me like 30 minutes before it finished as xtra was obviously not performing properly and throttled the bandwidth for no good reason. When the game finally updated and started, I took the time to get used to the game. I initially thought it would be very similar to Saint's Row or Grand Theft Auto in where you start as a nobody and a quest giver gives you random quests while being free to do anything. It could be because I'm still at the early stages of the game but it seemed pretty linear to me, no sandbox experience as of yet and that it's actually more like Uncharted. Although it didn't feel like it, I already played it for like 3 hours already so I decided to just take a break and make a blog.
