Found at a shop at Changi Airport Terminal 3

Perhaps viability through cryogenics is not as important to some people.

Ride on the Singapore Flyer

Landed in Singapore a couple of days ago however due to jetlag, we weren’t able to go out and about until today.

On the way to the hotel from the airport, we saw the giant wheel alongside the motorway. I remembered that somebody mentioned something about this new attraction and it looked complete. So today we decided to go and have a look. I went to asked a visitor information centre and found out that it just opened this month. We went to the Singapore Flyer attraction; apparently it is bigger than the London Eye (web site), which rotates slowly allowing you to have a bird’s eye-view of the city. As I’ve never seen anything like it at close proximity, I thought it was a great structure. I took my camera out and started snapping straight away.

Costs SG$29.50; we got lucky and managed to get a whole car all to ourselves. The ride takes around 35-40 minutes.

After this we thought we deserve a nice relaxation and pampering as well so we went to the “Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa”. You are wondering what a fish spa is? Well, at this establishment, you dip your feet into a pool filled with “Doctor Fish”. The fish nibble away dead skin cells and particles (libag?) and cleansing your skin whilst it stimulate the skin on your feet and apparently promoting blood circulation as well.

If you are wondering what it is like then imagine that your feet numb and the blood is just slowly getting into your feet. You feel this dull or faint “pins and needles” – it feels roughly like that. Of course for some who is ticklish then all you can feel is ticklishness. Worth a try at least once.

Feels weird to be unemployed

My last day at work was 20th Mar and for almost 2 weeks, I've been doing a lot of handovers. I think it was almost a wake up call for the company to see how much stuff I actually do that is taken for granted. For some stupid reason I tend to take on things that no one else want to do and now that I've left, everyone's suddenly your friend and they say "who will do this when you're gone?" I'm speechless usually as I really do not know who can do them. In my mind I think "Why don't you do it then? It is in your area..."

Anyway, I'm not sour as I've taken them on to prove something and seeing colleagues scramble like this is the ultimate proof to myself that I was contributing or, at least, am somewhat important to the company.

Thursday was the weirdest and as I've never really quit a job before, I didn't quite know what to expect. It was not exactly how I imagined it. I wasn't expecting much and in a way I'm glad I didn't because the last day was somewhat fulfilling.

I was sad of course as I've come to know a lot of people at work. I've been blessed to know people from a lot of different departments. There were at least 2 people with teary eyes and one of them was from someone I never thought would cry (for me). I would miss them...

I'm very grateful to a handful of people who organised my farewell drinks. Actually it was funny how they invited everyone else except me. I didn't actually know I had farewell drinks planned until a couple of days before and only found out what time it was on that morning. My own boss turned up quite late but I suppose he did have a meeting at the time and it looked important.

Generally it was a good last day. More stressful than I thought it would be. My sense of responsibility got in the way. I will miss a lot of people there but they've all become friends and I'm sure I will see them again in the future.

Bon Voyage to Shakoo

Bon Voyage to the next Kuya moving overseas - Shakoo...

Some of us went ot the BBQ yesterday and enjoyed some nice lamb chops and seeing the fast-growing Alex. Unfortunately Alex wasn't able to demonstrate the Hulk Teeth-Grind.

We all thought Alex is looking a lot like Thea until Thea showed us Shakoo's old photo album then we realised he looks a lot like Shakoo when he was a baby.

He are other photos we found for your enjoyment...

The poser shot.

The superhero stage

This was probably a school photo or maybe it was a portrait from a wedding...

Hello Kit-ty!!!

Even then, Shakoo was a fighter.

Someone called this the Nino Muhlach shot.

Another Superhero stage
