Ride on the Singapore Flyer

Landed in Singapore a couple of days ago however due to jetlag, we weren’t able to go out and about until today.

On the way to the hotel from the airport, we saw the giant wheel alongside the motorway. I remembered that somebody mentioned something about this new attraction and it looked complete. So today we decided to go and have a look. I went to asked a visitor information centre and found out that it just opened this month. We went to the Singapore Flyer attraction; apparently it is bigger than the London Eye (web site), which rotates slowly allowing you to have a bird’s eye-view of the city. As I’ve never seen anything like it at close proximity, I thought it was a great structure. I took my camera out and started snapping straight away.

Costs SG$29.50; we got lucky and managed to get a whole car all to ourselves. The ride takes around 35-40 minutes.

After this we thought we deserve a nice relaxation and pampering as well so we went to the “Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa”. You are wondering what a fish spa is? Well, at this establishment, you dip your feet into a pool filled with “Doctor Fish”. The fish nibble away dead skin cells and particles (libag?) and cleansing your skin whilst it stimulate the skin on your feet and apparently promoting blood circulation as well.

If you are wondering what it is like then imagine that your feet numb and the blood is just slowly getting into your feet. You feel this dull or faint “pins and needles” – it feels roughly like that. Of course for some who is ticklish then all you can feel is ticklishness. Worth a try at least once.
