Greens eggs part 2

For part two of this egg tryout, I decided to half-boil the eggs - simple and just add salt.

Same observations as the last review, the brown egg's yolk looked and tasted at lot richer. The green egg tasted almost washed out. Not bad but just not as rich.

Boiling the egg allows you to taste more of the egg flavour and it does not get masked by fried smells.

I also found this little micro-balut. The red dot is the embryo I think. I would say it is only a day or two old. To the left there is the shrimp-like crescent on the white. This is the cord. Having a fertilised egg at this early stage doesn't seem to have affected the yolk taste.

since watching jamie oliver's show on chicken and eggs, i've been a converted free range egg devotee. help spread this love!

about the egg research, couldn't be more interested on this topic, balut or otherwise. i've always thought that only unfertilised eggs get shipped to the market. is this another brainwashing effect of the matrix? does everything really taste like chicken???

These eggs I bought are not normal production line type produce I think so perhaps they can let slip fertilised eggs.

Interesting question you asked...but you can also ask yourself. Does chicken really taste like chicken? Have you thought about that maybe the machines couldn't figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything.

Does that make sense?
