Guess who came to Balmoral Lee Gar last nite?!?!

Go on! Guess! :-)

Ok, I'll tell you :-)
Jason "Psycho" Suttie
He's amazing enough to watch in the ring, but it's even cooler to see him up close ^_^ He was there to do some sparring (Monday nite's is boxing sparring) with Dougie, but Dougie wasn't there 'cos he was sick, so jason sparred the rest of the fighters, and damn he is impressive. Seeing his techniques and skill against the fighters (those that aren't set to fight this weekend) there last nite, just reinforced to me the fact that he is definitely world class...

Don't forget about the Combined Lee Gar Promotions this saturday! It's definitely going to be a great nite, specially after watching the guys that are fighting this weekend, hit the pads and do drills - good sharp technique, and power to back it up...

One fighter that's always impressive to watch is Simon "Spike" Chamberlain (read more here - he was mean on the pads last nite and I expect that he'll easily beat Dwayne Glasgow this weekend...

Have difficulty parallel parking?

i don't usually have problems parallel-parking, aside from when my neck is sore and i can't twist around enough to get a good look. So here's something that would make it a whole lot easier for those occasions don't you think? :-)

"how do you get a birds-eye-view of your car?" i hear you ask. answer is, i don't know either :-) check out the article here tho and see for yourself.

This is a bit worrying

Piniritong Hito

I use to eat piniritong hito. Pan fried with salt. Soy sauce or patis on the side and eaten with rice. Fresh hito is a must. You need to clean it in a special way..using salt to remove the slime if I recall correctly.

Bitch

Our receptionist is a bitch! I usually get along with receptionists
but this one is the mother of all bitches. The queen bitch. Why can't
all people be nice. I even tried to be friendly but all I get is
silence. Even courier drivers complain about her. BITCH!

Whew..there now..it's friday today and I miraculously woke up
refreshed this morning. Odd considering I went to bed late last night
due to a problem with my PC crashing. It started off crashing a few
weeks ago and last night after the last crash, the PC wouldn't even
start. I decided to open up my machine and changed the SATA cable (as
per B0LoG3R's suggestion) and there it was the PC is alive again. But
the PC still crashes. I hope my hard drive is not shot.

Another long day today as I have a shift at Dominos tonight. My first
friday night shift and I heard friday's are absurdly busy. No matter,
it is a no brainer cutting pizzas anyway and organising deliveries.
I'll get used to it. Last night I think I may have sent the wrong
pizza to the wrong house - Vegorama instead of Supreme.. but they
didn't complain so the error probably was in the making of the pizza.
There is this girl at Dominos, we have 2 young intermediate school
staff actually. Kayla is the one I'm referring to. She reminds me of
Lindsay Lohan. I even lifted a Lohan photo beside her face and it is
quite close...anyway she is the noisiest one there..always moving
about like she's got worms (filipino expression "may bulate sa puwet"
- will normally sound rude when converted into english). She also
chants weird things like "I like little boys..." and at some point she
kept on talking about her boobs not being big enough...the apron don't
sit on it properly or something. anyway just to shut her up I said,
"it won't take too long...(to grow)". I think she found reassurance on
that, giggled and talked about something else. The other girl, Chelzea
and my cousin Jamie thinks she's crazy. She's got the hots for one of
our drivers (Aziz) who I swear looks like in his late 30's. Weird
girl...

I also met this customer, a filipino, named Boyet. Didn't talk much.
Just exchanged the usual hi, how are you? stuff...he lives in
Glenfield. That much I know. We get a few kababayan customers. I
believe Lor is one of them :).... Although haven't seen here there
since I started covering shifts..btw...anyone in the vicinity is
welcome to come this saturday before 4pm. The pizzas will all be $4.95
(I was told). We serve 3 sizes - Large, Large, and Large. We have 3
base types - Thin and Crispy (like biscuit actually), Classic (the
best), and Pan (extra cuhsioning for your toppings before they fall
down your oesophagus). So all is welcome. I'll be there to help out..

Daze

I've been pretty tired over the past week. I'm not sure why. Is it because of all the politics at work and it is affecting my health? Is it work related stress? Is it not having enough sleep? I sometimes find myself staring at the screen at work where I see nothing but a blur.

I've been having headaches for the past few days now. The pain is on my left temple/forehead. Only the left. Nothing on the right nor the back. Just the left. It almost feels as if there is something in there. Shane, a work friend of mine, suggested that maybe I was stressed at work and perhaps I should take a day off. I'm not sure if I should. I always feel guilty taking sick leave. Eventhough I am not feeling well. I always have that feeling of guilt. Perhaps it is because a lot of people refer to it as "pulling a sickie". Although I am not, I am still worried people will accuse me. I have used that phrased before but only once or twice. When a colleague is sick and people ask, I usually say "He is sick today..." or " he is not well today..."

I do think I have enough sleep. I usually sleep for 6-7 hours. Any longer I feel restless. Like I feel I wasted my day. I am not a sleep-in kind of person. Even if I had a late night (more like all-nighters playing xbox) and I don't get to go to bed until 4-5 in the morning, I sleep and wake up around 10. I feel tired and fgeel shit for the rest of the day but I can't sleep anymore. However, I do sleep int he afternoons if I can. Take afternoon naps -unusual to some.

Some say that you feel sleepy just before the time that you were born. In my case I was born around 5pm. It makes sense because when I take a nap it is usually around 3-4pm for a couple of hours. I feel I've wasted part of my day too but I feel refreshed..but then I wouldn't be able to go to sleep that same night.

I'm getting a slight headache again..this time it is on my center-right forehead. Odd. Let this record show that I've had headaches in case I die tomorrow. Could be a brain tumour...

How NOT to take a photo of your cat!

Some people take it a bit too far

Don't you think?

Semi-succesful outing at the range last nite :-)

Gained about 20 metres with my driver (when I hit it right) - bit hard to get used to as the shaft on these woods have more flex than my old woods, so will have to change my swing a bit...
Same issue with the irons ie. Different weight/length and mass distribution around the club face/head meaning that I've got to change my swing for the irons as well...
But when I hit it right *mmmmmmmmm* - oh and the sound of a well hit driver was divine :-)

Thinking about getting some lessons to address this, but they ain't exactly the cheapest thing now...

In case you're interested in what clubs i got - here they are

Good work, boys! Now.. just need to recover my sleep...

Posted on behalf of Jigs

Say it with Feelings.

Fri night was good. I do not have photos though..perhaps someone can post some if they managed to take photos.

Highlight of the evening is "FIIIIRRRREEEE IIIINNNN TTTHHHHEEE HHHOOOLLLLEEE".

Jigs was very dramatic. He'll definitely get an Oscar for that.

Monday, Monday. I don't like mondays very much but I don't think I hate it either. Somehow I think of mondays as the first day towards the weekend..like 4 more days and it is the weekend.

It is usually the saturday or sunday that bothers me. "One more day and its back to work Monday..."

Anyway I'm not that fussed about it. As long as the traaffic is acceptible and it does not rain, I'm fine. It is ok to rain as long as I'm not on the road. :)

Speaking of traffic... N'Western lane layout changed today. It is somewhat confusing but it is for the better. The traffice after the St Lukes on ramp usually pile up especially on the outer lanes due to the traffic exiting on Newton, heading to the Port, and heading south on the Southern motorway. But in the new layout, the Newton exit is still on the outermost lane, then followed by Nelson street exit (yes it is now on the left). then the Southern MWay then Port.

In a way it still builds up on the innermost lanes now but the people exiting on newton and nelson are not trapped by those going south.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, there will be a lane that goes directly to the Northern MWay. Makes sense to me. Surprise they didn't do that in the first place.

A Head Cold

so i was in town today, bought the usual rations from minotaur.com.au plus a poster to use for my Team Board at work-- just like in chess, the power to influence your fate lies on your position. lately, i've witnessed bad politics at work. never a good sight. but the culture seems to be "to just move on..." because the consensus is that, despite the hugs and keep-in-touch's when all is said and done, everyone moves on. even the bad apples just keep rolling once they fall off the basket. i, for one, strive to be an orange.

Salmon's one of the best

it's been a while since i last had some sinigang na salmon. i managed to get a few cutlets at broadmeadows (gawd, i miss seamart) whilst trying to clear my head of some gunk. it'd have been nicer to sit out in the country with hardly any worries, apart from hay fever perhaps. but then again, i wouldn't have been able to enjoy that chocollo as i waited for the bus. nothing like a good low-fat sugar rush as i move away from all the window shopping.

Tonite's festivities

Now gang, i'm sure that you'll all be on your best behaviours, but try not to make too much of a mess when you're getting pissed ok? :-)

Speaking of which...

Nice day

TGIF! Such a nice day today. I hope none of the people at work will ruin it for me.

I've been pretty tired the past few days ever since I started helping out at the pizza shop. Brings back old memories though when I use to work at Alberto's Pizzeria when I was in uni.

One of the staff is Kayla who is probably the most hyper girl I've met in a while. She just doesn't stop moving and talking..but I guess a lot of teenage girls are like that.

Anyway, got an email from www.bikini-modeling.com. Shakoo, I know you will be interested in this site. Unfortunately there are only 2 models listed at the moment.. I've posted them here so we can all monitor.

Here's an interesting site from Shakoo. www.izpitera.ru/lj/tetka.swf

I wanna go home early... Elnino...cut down on the caffeine..

I'm surprised this was not done sooner. Should be good for the environment and for the public. Otherwise it will be like asia where can accumulate soot in your nose.

Sad. Althought he story doesn't say anything about what had happened to the guy he caught and the others that got away.

It is similar on queen st on fridays and saturdays...even though you are defending yourself, they simply pick up anyone they see and DO NOT believe what they say. I guess if you are in the police's position, would you believe the person you caught if he/she says it is self defense?

Any quick thinking person can use it as an excuse.

I also think this is a case of racism. Because he is an islander police assume he was the trouble maker rather than the theif-catcher.

unfair

the last post i did was edited by someone else and there's no trace of it being edited.. what's to stop others from making the original poster say things they didn't really say?

It's 3am...

i must be lonely. actually, that's when i fell asleep. a couple of hours later, i'm wide awake again... maybe those cups of instant coffee from work yesterday arvo finally kicked in. i wish i'd feel like this when i actually have work. nice. long weekend again for me. time to catch up on some Smallville season 2 eps. and then some.

how peaceful flinders st station seems to be at 6am. yesterday, it was filled with toothless, grungy-looking men, getting drunk in the pubs by the herd. must be part of the agenda for the industrial action that took place yesterday. good on ya, idiots!

where were the blue heelers? yeah, showing off their latest commodores V8s down the curb.

end-result for myself: a delayed tram schedule. c'est la vie.
