Sux being on-call/escalation 'cos I get txt messages for any sort of system-wide problems that might have anything at all to do with the set of systems that I look after... So I started getting txt messages about a CR (change request) that had gone wrong (server tech mirrored the incorrect disk *id10t* error) - these started coming thru at 2am (2-bloody-A-friggen-M) and kept on coming thru every 45-60 minutes with updates (ie. What they're doing and when the next update it, and finally the resolution) and these kept on coming thru till 6AM!!! Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh...
So today, any stupid user-generated system issues will not be tolerated
